Journal of Nonlocality

The Journal of Nonlocality is an electronic open-access publication focused on new experimental approaches to the problems of quantum measurement and nonlocality. Aiming to connect empirical findings and research models across several disciplines (quantum mechanics, consciousness research, and biophysics), we hope to create a platform for the development of new insights and innovative experimental protocols at the boundary between mainstream and exploratory science.

In contrast to existing publication models, and in recognition of the conceptual, financial, and publication challenges faced by our core disciplines, the Journal of Nonlocality will accept experimental work at all stages of development – from preliminary proposals to fully-developed protocols to completed studies and replications. Submissions are accepted from within and outside the Mind-Matter Mapping Project and will undergo both a rapid, editorial board review as well as a prolonged, open peer review. (For more details, see For Authors).

Submissions are accepted and published as rapid pre-prints throughout the year. To upload a proposal, go to our journal website, register (if not already a user) then follow the instructions for authors.

All papers will be pre-screened and peer reviewed by our editorial board within two weeks of submission, after which accepted articles will be published in the Open Submissions section of the journal for open peer review. All reader comments will be moderated and published on both the JNL and M3P websites, following which the author will be given a chance to revise the original paper prior to final publication in the Journal of Nonlocality. Final papers will be assigned a unique DOI through CrossRef and indexed in the appropriate databases.

The journal is published biannually, in June and December. Between January 1st and March 1st all M3P members will have an opportunity to vote for the best research proposal published in the preceding year, to be awarded the Mind-Matter Mapping Prize.
